The Gara Mountain Man 5K Run fundraiser is held every April in Billings, Montana, USA. Proceeds go toward the completion of the orphanage dormitory for the street children of Gara Muleta, Ethiopia. The dormitory will house up to 50 children.
The 2014 Race had a great turnout. All race participants received a t-shirt, and prizes included carved wooden animals. Gara would like to thank the 2014 sponsors: Bighorn Trout Shop, Good Earth Market, Lucky’s Market, and Time Out Sports. As we say in Ethiopia, “Ahmesugenalew!” (Thanks!).
